| The weather in the islands is hot and dry with usual temperatures in the range of 75-95° F. The success of angling is similar during all the dry season. In the particular case of tarpon fishing, the season is somewhat shorter (February through May). | ||

| The Lodge LesDauphins was one of the very first fishing resorts in the Bijagos islands. Its location on the main island (Bubaque) is perfect as the start point for all fishing operations. The game fishing area is approximately 540 square miles with no industrial fishing boats or fisheries. Such waters have enjoyed sportsmen for more than 15 years now. | ||

Each boat is connected to the others and to the Lodge by wireless VHF RT. On board you will find all the safety equipment required according to the European standards. Everything is ready to allow you to take a chance with strong and hard-to-catch fish. |

| At the Dolphin Lodge every possible technique of coastal fishing is possible. In many cases the size and weight of the fish are measured or evaluated before the fish is returned to the sea (« catch and release » or « no kill » procedure). Anglers go two by boat and make their plans for the day depending on their preferences, on the tide an other local conditions, and on the recommendations of our fishing expert. | ||

It is open all around for a breathtaking view over the islands and includes bar and restaurant. The menus are natural and healthy, mostly made of catch of the day and sea food, and occasionally duck or meat. The kitchen prepares snacks allowing guests to fish all day and eat lunch aboard or rest on a remote island for a picnic. |
